Amanda Plunkett

Amanda is a registered Psychologist experienced in working with people across the lifespan, with a particular interest in teenagers and young adults. She is trained in EMDR and is passionate about working with trauma and the adverse events which lead to the experience of anxiety, depression, and other mental illness. She has experience working with dissociation and parts within the EMDR framework. Amanda also has an interest in Autism Spectrum Disorders and other neurodiversity, particularly in older teenagers and adults. She works from a neurodiverse affirming perspective.

Amanda also has experience with cognitive and educational assessment (e.g. WISC, WAIS, and WIAT), particularly with children and adolescents.

Amanda is diversity friendly, including LGBTQIA+, sex work, ethical non-monogamy/polyamory, and BDSM/Kink.

Amanda is currently working on a presentation introducing health and allied health professionals to the Ethical Non-Monogamy and BDSM communities. See here for more information. Please note, due to COVID, this presentation has been postponed.
