Carolyn Eagle

Carolyn is a registered psychologist who is passionate about improving the quality of clients lives through evidence-based practice and care. She has a background working with adults in forensic and community-based settings, as well as within the disability sector.

Carolyn has over 12 years experience within the forensic setting, including risk assessments, program delivery, transition coordination and individual therapy. Her work with clients with intellectual, physical and psycho-social disabilities also includes project work with Corrective Services, as well as other government and non-government organisations, within assessment, advocacy and therapeutic roles. Her clinical experience further extends to work with mental health clients, conducting assessments within an acute setting, and working collaboratively with clients within a case management model that provides opportunity for therapeutic interventions.

Carolyn is trained in numerous therapeutic approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR). Carolyn recognises the need for individualised treatment for better client outcomes. She also recognises the role that trauma can have on the development of mental unwellness and maladaptive behaviours and therefore a trauma informed approach forms the basis of all interactions with clients.

Please note that Carolyn is only available for telehealth appointments.
