
Micheal is a registered psychologist with over five years of experience working in community and government organisations.
He graduated from the University of Queensland in 2012 and gained a unique range of experience with Lifeline telephone crisis support and hospital/ surgical patient care prior to commencing his psychology career.
His professional experiences include forensic psychology, with a speciality in risk assessments and short-term intervention, and vocational psychology, assisting people with complex mental and physical disabilities cope with stressors related to long-term unemployment, job-seeking, and re-joining the workforce. Micheal works collaboratively with his clients and utilises a range of evidence-based treatments such as cognitive-behavioural therapy, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness-integrated therapies. He is passionate about helping people understand their mental health and equipping them with coping skills to improve overall well-being.
Micheal has a background of working with culturally diverse clients and he is experienced working with a range of complex mental health issues. He has specific interests in complicated grief, substance use issues, chronic pain, and offending behaviour.
