Rhonda Rowland

Rhonda is a psychologist who completed her Bachelor of Arts and Masters in Educational Psychology at the University of Queensland. She is fully registered with the Psychology Board of Australia and the Australian Psychological Society. Rhonda began her career in private practice in 1999. She has also worked as a psychologist for the government in disability services and provided counselling in non-government not-for-profit settings. Rhonda has provided treatment and support to a wide age range of clients, from young children to adults. She has over 20 years of experience working with children. Rhonda has worked with clients presenting with a wide range of issues including anxiety, phobias, stress, depression, school issues, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, weight management and behaviour problems.

Rhonda plans treatment collaboratively with each client, addressing their unique needs and situation and working towards their individual goals. She is passionate about helping people and believes that everyone has the capability to make positive changes in their life.

Rhonda uses evidence based treatments including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Family Therapy and Psychoeducation. She is also trained in the use of Hypnotherapy. Rhonda constantly updates her professional skills and knowledge in order to provide psychological services of the highest standard, based on the best available research.
